Another Green Celebrity Mom

Jennie Garth from the utterly popular Beverly Hills 90210 is now a mother of three beautiful girls. Her latest project - aside from being a full-time mother - has been designing and promoting new environmentally friendly 100% recycled cotton bags. She teamed up with Green Works natural cleaners for the project and when you purchase a bag Green Works will donate $3.65 to the Sierra Club.

“Like many moms, I’m on a journey to living a more natural lifestyle without sacrificing quality and convenience,” said Garth. “Working with the Green Works team to design this bag is another opportunity to share the message about natural cleaning, while supporting a deserving organization like the Sierra Club.”

We admire a woman who strives to live a greener life style.

Lively Lives for Kooba

Blake Lively is becoming quite the starlet with acting roles in Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants, Sandman, Accepted and most recently as Serena Van Der Woodsen on CW's Gossip Girl.

While shooting an upcoming episode she was caught leaving Silvercup Studios the latest environmentally-friendly handbag. The “Kooba for Barneys Green Eco Bag” is a limited-edition canvas tote.

Kooba is a line of designer handbags that all of young and old Hollywood can't get enough of. The Green Tote at Barneys has a price tag of $245 and is well worth it because you know that its eco-savvy and majorly fashionable.

More Green, This Time on TV

Just about everything is going green. It was just a matter of time till TV went more green too! The Sundance Channel will be premiering "the GREEN" - a regularly scheduled programming destination dedicated entirely to the environment. They are also offering eco-tips, green guide, and a greenzine! Join their eco-community and check out their blog.

If you'd much rather watch something than read something, I would recommend checking out all of the eco-videos that they have online - the first of which is called Big Ideas for a Small Planet.

Not Just a Granola Game

It's not just "crazy hippies" that are getting into the Green movement. Apparently the trend has reached major television networks as well. The Discovery Channel has recently unveiled plans to invest $50 million dollars into creating programming that encourages sustainable living and organic lifestyle.

The Green media company Lime has prepared to debut six new web series that focus primarily on green living. They have currently partnered with Microsoft to develop more prolific advertising across green websites. "Lime is really on pace to be the destination for green living, "says CJ Kettler, the founder and CEO of Lime Communications.

Is there room for this hippie idea in the major television world? Or is it just a fad on its way out?
