Another Chance for a New Year Resolve

The beginning of 2008 is coming to an end as the month of February is coming up. Most people around this time are considering a bit of spring cleaning and having thoughts about chocolates and flowers for their Valentine. It may have only been three weeks since we all celebrated on New Year's Eve, but I'm sure many of the resolutions that were made have already been broken.

The Chinese New Year is the answer to all of those who weren't quite ready to commit to their first resolutions. February 7th will mark the end of 'the year of the pig' and the beginning of 'the year of the rat.' It will also mark the very beginning of the 12 year animal signs cycle! A fresh start for everyone!

Anyone and everyone can partake in the festivities. Decorate your home with red and gold. Red symbolizes health and gold symbolizes wealth. Greet family and friends with red envelopes for good luck and wish them 'gung hay fat choy!' ('Wishing you prosperity' in Cantonese.)
